Environmental Science and Technology is an introductory course required for both environmental studies and science majors at Ithaca College. I took the course during my freshman year and it opened my eyes to a lot of the environmental issues we are currently facing and began providing some interesting solutions to those problems. I was really excited when I was asked to be a teaching assistant for the class in the Spring of 2013 because the class had such a large impact on me. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to help introduce important environmental topics to the newest class of students at Ithaca College. My responsibilities included: writing quizzes and exams for the online program associated with the course and facilitating group discussion through activities related to course material (example: Tragedy of the Commons fish game).
